COMMERICAL WORK

IN SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY

“You, through your lives and work have truly affected the day, and found the art of life. We all benefit.” -- Susan Lemos, St. Patrick Parishioner

Although the majority of our work over the years has been residential construction, we are very confident in our commercial work capacity. Most recently we designed, constructed, and managed, from concept to completion, the new worship space at St. Patrick Church in Newcastle, Maine. This project was a major undertaking and a unique honor in that St. Patrick Church is a historical landmark, being the oldest Catholic Church in New England.

Since its completion in 2004, the space has exceeded expectations and has not only been a place of worship but a sought after concert facility, having become well know for its tremendous acoustic qualities. Thus far the space has been host to not only many local community artists and choral ensembles, but also to the DaPonte String Quartet of Portland and internationally known mezzo-soprano opera singer, Kate Aldrich.

In the past Hervochon Construction has also worked successfully with other non-profit agencies. In 1981 we built an office space and residential facility for The Mobius Corporation which works with developmentally delayed adults; and in 1988 we designed and built a group home for Weymouth House which serves at risk youth.

“Marvelous integration of old and new ….beautiful design, windows and ceiling. The light is fantastic.” -- Jan Cellana, St. Patrick Parishioner

“You showed such leadership in taking on this project. Your crew’s devotion to the task was noticed by everyone who visited during construction.” -- Kitty Greg, St. Patrick Parishioner
